Mothers Love
After his father’s death, the Son decided to leave his mother at old age home and visited her on and off.
Once he received a call from old age home….Mom very serious ….. please come to visit.
Son went and saw mom very critical, on her dying bed.
He asked: Mom what can I do for you?
Mom replied… “Please install fans in the old age home, there are none….
Also put a fridge for betterment of food because many times I slept without food”.
Son was surprised and asked: mom, while you were here you never complained,
now you have few hours left and you are telling me all this, why?
Mom replied…..”it’s OK dear, I’ve managed with the heat, hunger & pain,
but when your children will send you here, I am afraid you will not be able to manage!

A Date with another Woman
I know you all must have read it..... I thought it to be Worth posting once again on Mother's Day.
After 21 years of marriage, my Wife wanted me to take another Woman out to Dinner and a Movie. She said I Love You but I know this other Woman loves you and would Love to spend some Time with You.
The other Woman that my Wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER,who has been a Widow for 19 years, but the demands of my Work and my three Children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.
That night I called to Invite her to go out for Dinner and a Movie.'What's wrong, are you well,' she asked? My Mother is the type of Woman who suspects that a Late Night Call or a Surprise Invitation is a sign of Bad News.
'I thought that it would be pleasant to be with you,' I responded.'Just the two of us.' She thought about it for a moment, and then said,'I would like that very much.'
That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up I was a bit Nervous. When I arrived at her House, I noticed that she too seemed to be Nervous about our Date. She waited in the Door with her Coat on. She had Curled her Hair and was wearing the Dress that she had worn to celebrate her last Wedding Anniversary.
She smiled from a face that was as Radiant as an Angel's. 'I told my Friends that I was going to go out with My Son, and they were impressed', She said, as she got into the Car.'They can't wait to hear about our meeting'. We went to a Restaurant that, although not Elegant, was very Nice and Cozy. My Mother took my Arm as if She were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the Menu. Large Print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me.
A Nostalgic Smile was on her Lips. 'It was I who used to have to Read the Menu when you were Small,' She said.'Then it's Time that you Relax and let me Return the Favor,' I responded. During the Dinner, we had an Agreeable Conversation, nothing Extra-ordinary, but catching up on recent Events of each others Life. We talked so much that we missed the Movie. As we arrived at her House later, She said, 'I'll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.' I agreed.
'How was your Dinner Date?' asked My Wife when I got Home.'Very Nice. Much more so than I could have Imagined,' I answered. A few days later, my Mother died of a Massive Heart Attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn't have Time to do anything for her. Some time later, I received an Envelope with a Copy of a Restaurant Receipt from the same place Mother and I had dined.
An Attached Note Said:
'I paid this Bill in Advance. I wasn't sure that I could be there; But nevertheless, I paid for Two Plates One for You and the Other for Your Wife. You will never know what that Night meant for Me. I Love You, My Son.'
At that moment, I understood the Importance of saying in Time: 'I LOVE YOU!' and to give our Loved Ones the Time that they Deserve. Nothing in Life is more important than God and your Family. Give them the Time they Deserve, because these Things cannot be Put Off till 'Some Other time.'

Parents
My parents left for our native place on Thursday and we went to the airport to see them off. In fact, my father had never traveled by air before, so I just took this opportunity to make him experience the same. In spite of being asked to book tickets by train, I got them tickets on Jet Airways.
The moment I handed over the tickets to him, he was surprised to see that I had booked them by air. The excitement was very apparent on his face, waiting for the time of travel. Just like a school boy, he was preparing himself on that day and we all went to the airport, right from using the trolley for his luggage, the baggage check-in and asking for a window seat and waiting restlessly for the security check-in to happen. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and I, too, was overcome with joy watching him experience all these things..
As they were about to go in for the security check-in, he walked up to me with tears in his eyes and thanked me. He became very emotional and it was not as if I had done something great but the fact that this meant a great deal to him. When he said thanks, I told him there was no need to thank me. But later, thinking about the entire incident, I looked back at my life.
As a child, how many dreams our parents have made come true. Without understanding the financial situation, we ask for cricket bats, dresses, toys, outings, etc.. Irrespective of their affordability, they have catered to all our needs. Did we ever think about the sacrifices they had to make to accommodate many of our wishes? Did we ever say thanks for all that they have done for us?
Same way, today when it comes to our children, we always think that we should put them in a good school. Regardless of the amount of donation, we will ensure that we will have to give the child the best, theme parks, toys, etc. But we tend to forget that our parents have sacrificed a lot for our sake to see us happy, so it is our responsibility to ensure that their dreams are realized and what they failed to see when they were young. It is our responsibility to ensure that they experience all those and their life is complete.
Many times, when my parents had asked me some questions, I have actually answered back without patience. When my daughter asks me something, I have been very polite in answering. Now I realize how they would have felt at those moments. Let us realize that old age is a second childhood and just as we take care of our children, the same attention and same care needs to be given to our parents and elders. Quality time and politely answering them with out making them wait is important. Now I realize that I must look at their eyes and answer them pleasantly and pretend to be reading papers and answer in mono syllables. Rather than my dad saying thank you to me, I would want to say sorry for making him wait so long for this small dream. I do realize how much he has sacrificed for my sake and I will do my best to give the best possible attention to all their wishes..
Just because they are old does not mean that they will have to give up everything and keep sacrificing for their grandchildren also. They have wishes, too..
Take care of your parents. THEY ARE PRECIOUS.
